Welcome to my blog.  My hope is that this blog will help me keep my research organized as I continue my doctoral studies and begin my teaching career.  My research interests include: Composition Studies, Latin@ Studies, Critical Race Theory, Basic Writing and Writing Center Theory.  I’m also interested in issues of accessibility and equity in higher education for Students of Color and Writing Across Communities.

Even though at times it seems that my life revolves around school, reading, writing and teaching, in “real” life, I’m all about home.  Nothing makes me happier than spending time with my husband of six years and our three dogs.  We have two Yorkies (ages 10 and 9) and a Cocker Spaniel (age 8).  I’m also a sitcom fanatic and enjoy reading biographies, classic fiction and Latin@ literature.
